I have to admit, I am passionate about reverse mortgages. Many years ago, during an educational mortgage seminar, reverse mortgages were mentioned, but only briefly.

Intrigued, I started to research reverse mortgages on my own and soon became very excited about their possibilities to improve the lives of people over 62. That's when I knew what I wanted to do; teach people the same things I knew about reverse mortgages so that more older Americans could take advantage of this federal program.

And that's exactly what I did.  Things have changed over the past few years, of course. I first became a full-time Reverse Mortgage Specialist, then added the Certified Senior Advisor training, and now I am proud to be the President of Seacoast Family Mortgage, offering a full array of government and conventional loans for purchases and refinances. The federally-insured reverse mortgage program has continued to evolve as well, with higher lending limits and additional consumer safeguards.

What hasn't changed is how passionate I still am about reverse mortgages and how much I enjoy helping all my clients, seniors and otherwise. Over the years, client by client, I've seen first hand how reverse mortgages have made people's lives easier. My clients have used their reverse mortgages to pay off their existing mortgages, travel, pay taxes, buy long term care insurance, make long overdue home repairs and much more.

I look forward to taking my company into a leadership role in our industry in the years to come.
